Two years ago, after about ten years, some enthusiastic sports fans managed to restart the rural hockey movement that appeals to the children of Gyergyószék, Romania. The 'JégViHar' (Rural Ice Hockey Hargita) movement made it possible for a total of more than 150 children in six villages with Hungarian majority to enjoy hockey again. Another goal of the project was to revive the so-called village tournaments, where young hockey players can step on the ice in a natural, home environment.
